PR PLAST MODULE – HIGH MODULUS ADDITIVE

PR PLAST MODULE, which is used for the Binder Course or Base Course of the Hot Mix Asphalt. PR PLAST MODULE comes in the form of 3 mm granules. This additive is confirmed the standard of production of High Modulus Asphalt Mix (EME)

PRINCIPLE

PR PLAST MODULE works as reinforcement agent between the aggregates and gives more stiffness for the base course .It increases the modulus of elasticity so with the help increase of modulus of elastic and more stiffness of the base course that increases the resistance of vertical compressive strain and horizontal tensile strain in the pavement of the road. Based on these parameters we can reduce the thickness of the base course to 20% to 30%.

MAIL ADVANTAGES

* It reduces the asphalt thickness by 20% to 30%.

* Greatly improves the Modulus of elasticity. By increase in the Modulus of elasticity, the life of the pavement is much longer than the normal even with high density of traffic.

* It resists the fatigue of the road.

The reduction of the thickness are depends on different parameters like CBR value of the sub grade, Terms of cumulative number of standard axles, Percentage growth of traffic, Design life of the road, Temperature, Vehicle damage factor, Calculating the limit of vertical compressive strain at the top of sub grade and horizontal tensile strain at the bottom of the bituminous layer.
