PR FLEX 20 - MODIFIED BITUMEN IN GRANULAR FORM FOR HOT MIX ASPHALTS

It is a concentrated modified bitumen in granular form of 3mm used directly in the mixing plant for making hot mix asphalts. It is a mixture of elastomer and polymer predigested by a special bitumen. (30% of bitumen and 70% of polymeres).

Two things make this technique possible :

* The polymers having a long expansion time when predigested during manufacture of the formula and therefore require only a very short mixing time.

* the mixer filled with the hot aggregate produces a very high shear rate so a homogeneous mix can be achieved in a very short mixing time.

APPLICATIONS

All asphalts mixtures requiring a high level of cohesion and subjected to important tangential strains.

Thin bituminous surface courses.

Very thin bituminous wearing courses.
